Gary Carter

After moving to the United Kingdom in the mid 80s, I continued to make performance-based work for the theatre, often using dancers and singers, and in collaboration with musicians.

Although most of my professional career has been in television production, I have continued to study the piano privately.   After moving to The Netherlands in 1995, I studied first under Marijke van Duin, and am now a student of Marjès Benoist.

With her encouragement, I have recently embarked on a BA Hons degree in Music through the Open University in the UK, with an emphasis on performance.

My interests are 20th and 21st Century music, especially transcendental music, and music written by women.
