In 2021 Matvey won the IV prize on the XII Chopin international piano competition in Hartford, CT

In 2022 Matvey participated in Tel-Hai piano festival in Israel where he was able to have lessons and masterclasses with world-famous professors, such as prof. Oxana Yablonskaya, Prof. Jeffrey Swann, Dhr. Yossi Reshef and others.

In 2022 Matvey was selected to be a part of the Zomerfestival Klassiek in Helvoirt, Netherlands where had many masterclasses with prof. Geoffrey Madge and played on 4 concerts.

Nowadays, Matvey studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of prof. Frank Peters. He is involved in Conservatorium’s music life and takes part in all masterclasses and workshops.

He played solo recitals in different regions of the Netherlands and has already planned some for the next year.
